Papa come back home

Print PDF

After his leaving AEON.Dota some weeks ago, Papaxiong has played for quite a number of teams and mix’s and has contrived to even get his team (namely, IG) placed in the SMM qualifier held in the state of Kuala Lumpur. None of the teams has so far taken his fancy, though.
At long last, literally a couple of hours back, it became public knowledge that the legendary player, who is justly reputed as one of Malaysia’s best players, would return “home”, to his old teammates of Kingsurf, which certainly comes to the team’s fans greatest delight, and will strengthen the team to the point they now look fearful.

Kingsurf Team roster:

Wei Poong 'Yamateh' Ng
Wei Xiang 'Papaxiong' Lee
Kim Jen 'Sakura' Ng
When Chek 'xiaogui' Lee
Chee Chai 'Ice' Chua
Hock Chuan 'ChuaN' Wong

Will Yamateh and Papaxiong take the world by surprise once again? Let’s see what kind of performance they will be showing over SMM; regardless of their result, we can, for certain, expect a deliciously enjoyable play by Kingsurf.

Dota Club has interviewed the manager of one of the youngest teams (yet attracting attention) on the dota scene. Karabas speaks on recent changes in the roster, their plans for this ASUS and the nearest future of the RoX.KIS.

Team RoX: Dread, Kapa6ac, Santa, Rain

Hello, please introduce yourself to our readers.

Hi, my name is Aleksei, I am RoX.KIS.Dota team manager.

Interview with Pusher by GosuGamers

Gosugamers conducted a long interview with Pusher to talk about how he start play DotA and met the current MYM team, why MYM invite him, and what he feeling playing in one of the best DotA teams in history.

Let's start with how you actually met the guys from MYM and how it came to form a team together.

Well my story into the old MYM team was a long one: it all started with my friendship with MaNia whom I have known since I was 7, and we always played video games against each other and also together (bubble bobble 4ever!). So we've pretty much always played the same stuff because we hated losing to each other and it was a great way to pass time, when you didn't have enough for football. Then we started going to PC cafes with our friends since you could only play 2-4 on N64, Starcraft was a bit too hard for me because back then I was only 11 and I didn't really want to compete with MaNia in that game since he was far superior then me. But when WC3 was coming out I decided to get better than him, which didn't work out of me though :S He was still better.

Then when TFT came out MaNia was on vacation so I had two weeks I could play where he couldn't. So I thought I would abuse this chance and I pracced, pracced and pracced to beat him when he came back and I could finally get my revenge since I never beat him in SC and only once in WC3 RoC. So the day he came home I convinced him to buy TFT so we could play vs. each other.

And let me guess: you lost?

Yes, he owned me sooo hard with some cheesy RoC strat I was soooooo pissed ever since then, so I decided I would just team up with him instead (dreams shattered :S ). Funny story though back then.

How did you come to know Maelk?

I hated Maelk back then because he had his own Danish crew competing with me and MaNia's. We were always flaming each other every chance we would get. It was always Maelk/Reveal/Tulkaz/Loca vs. Me/MaNia/Flaskehals/41-eyes and it was really funny to have this rivalry since we won the first 3on3 Bnet tour on Northrend and Maelk had to sit there and choke on it. We loved that :)

But as WoW came out I started playing it and I tried to lore MaNia with me until he got level 21 in one weekend, but he stopped playing it because he was more focused on WC3 at the time since he was playing on a more serious level then me.

After a year of WoW, MaNia said I should start playing DotA with him so we could start playing against each other again. At first I was like "DotA is a noob custom game", but he said I should just try it out again because it changed a lot since I first played it (remember Riki’s death ward...).

Interview with Baja, Synderen and moods, just before their games

aeon|tensa: What do you think about fnatic as a team?
dmZ|moods: fnatic is a strong team wich has excellent individually skilled players

aeon|tensa: Do you know their weak and strong sides?
dmZ|moods: i think that its almost impossible to shut their farm down. Even if u start dominating early and mid game misery and loda will farm a lot. in addition they are able to turn any game at anytime by making excellent ingame decisions.

aeon|tensa: But you have some nice bans, arent you?
dmZ|moods: :D, n/c )
aeon|tensa: ok thx for the answers )

13abyKnight about his dota career, life and DotaClub tourney.

Print PDF

AEON|TENSA: Hello Jon, please introduce yourself.

unique`13abyKnight: My name is Jon, I'm 17 years old and I live in Denmark... I've played DotA for approximately 3 years.

How did you start to play dota?
-I played a lot of wc3 and custom maps before I started my DotA 'career', so I guess it was natural that me and my friends started playing DotA when we saw the game.. and I got addicted :D

How did you meet your future teammates? Did it happen on dotaleague ? )
-Unique? Back to the past, Me and Durum, we've known each other  from the time I didn’t knew what DotA, so that's how I met unique, after leaving 4K, I needed a team. After a bit of begging by Donald-Duck, I finally decided to join up with unique.

It's not a secret you are top1 dota-league player, also not a secret you've been playing this league for a very long time, why it's so. Why do you like it? Did this league form you as a player we know  you?
-Well, it's chilling to play games on DotA-League.com but I can't lie, there aren't really any "challenges" to find there. But it's funny to play VIP with mates sometimes, or just  to gain confidence (lol) in normal SIG :D. No, DotA-League hasn't formed me as a player
